It has been brought to our attention that there are noise issues regarding the Sea Cadet Hut.

We are addressing this situation as it is of some worry to us after the amount of work that has been put in by our members and friends of the club, there was an issue regarding a motorcycle being ridden around the site by one of the lads in our youth project, this has now been addressed and will not be permitted to happen again. There also seems to be a level of concern in regards to the amount of meets at the site, as a club we only hold an official club meeting on a monday night although there may be other times we may move this meet to a saturday, this is in respect of fundraising that we need to do. This venture dose not get grants to do the work, we have to fund all that ourselves at this present time. The noise levels may be higher at times due to machinery being used, it is the only way to move or remove the rubbish, brambles and tree roots that have built up over 10 years of the site not being in use, there is also the level of work required to the building itself due to vandals and neglect. The Fuel Burners may be a motorcycle club but that don't make us bad people, members of our club have been involved with the Sea cadets for many years, some of our members have also been involved with the military, no hidden agenda just a dislike of seeing this landmark go to ruin. Those that know us of old in our town already know our club is involved with lots of charitable causes, we have held many fundraisers in Berkhamsted in the past when we were members of The 365 Club. The Fuel Burners are involved with The Hertfordshire Air Ambulance, Cancer Research UK, Keech Cottage Children's Hospice to name just a few, we don't do these things because we have to, we do things for charity because we want to. If you are a local resident and have any concerns about what we are doing on the site, noise levels or just interested, please come and talk to us, our door is always open for a chat and a cuppa.

We send our apologies to any local residents that are disrupted by noise on the site, we will endeavour to get the machinery side of things done as quick as humanly possible.
